Good to know

A few useful details

Find a meaning, not a secret code

Heart colors can express affection, support or an aesthetic preference. Their meanings are conversational conventions, not guaranteed facts about a sender. The meanings guide compares possibilities without assigning relationship labels.

Newer hearts need appropriate support

Pink, light blue and gray hearts appear in Unicode’s Emoji 15.0 data. A missing glyph can show as a box. Support depends on the receiving app and font, so this collection does not promise a particular appearance on every operating-system version.

A complete sequence matters

The red heart copy includes FE0F. Heart on fire and mending heart also contain a zero-width joiner. If an app splits a joined sequence into separate pictures, the text can still be intact even though the app cannot draw it as one emoji.

Heart Emojis FAQ

Where can I compare all heart colors?

Use the Heart Emoji Meanings guide for a comparison table. Individual red, pink, black, white, purple and broken-heart pages have their own examples and combinations.

Can I change a heart emoji’s color with text styling?

The colored artwork is generally separate from text color. Choose the appropriate colored-heart character, or use a text heart in an editor that supports font coloring.

Why does a heart look different after pasting?

Emoji artwork is supplied by the destination app or system. Its shape and shade may differ while the underlying character stays the same.

Why are some emoji names not links?

Every displayed emoji can be copied. Only completed reference pages have a detail link; additional references are not represented by empty pages.
