The collection

Filled & outline hearts

♥ and ♡ are card suits. The heavy heart ❤ is a separate character. The labeled text-style copies include FE0E where supported.

The collection

Bullets & floral ornaments

These are individual decorative characters. A floral heart is an ornament rather than a colored heart emoji.

Look-alikes & complete combinations

ღ is a Georgian letter used decoratively. Winged hearts and dividers contain several characters; copying keeps the complete sequence.

Good to know

A few useful details

Text color is different from emoji artwork

A text heart can follow a document’s font color. The same character may be rendered as emoji in some apps. Where Unicode defines a presentation pair, FE0E requests text; it does not guarantee that every app will comply.

Names are not meanings

BLACK and WHITE in card-suit names distinguish filled and outline shapes. They do not dictate ink color or the emotional meaning of a message. Use the detail pages to distinguish ♥ from 🖤 and ♡ from 🤍.

Choose a character before a decoration

For a short name, begin with one simple heart and preview it in the receiving app. Decorative letters and long combinations can take more room or be read awkwardly by assistive technology.

Text Heart Symbols FAQ

Which heart is the plain outline symbol?

♡ is U+2661 WHITE HEART SUIT. It is an outline text symbol, distinct from the white-heart emoji 🤍.

Does a text heart always stay black?

No. It can take the surrounding text color, and app rendering may vary. A text presentation selector requests a style but cannot force all receiving apps to follow it.

Is ღ officially a heart?

No. U+10E6 is GEORGIAN LETTER GHAN. Its heart-like appearance makes it a decorative choice, but it remains a letter.

Can I copy a whole decorated heart at once?

Yes. Combination buttons copy their complete text, including spaces and any joining or presentation characters. A combination counts as one saved item.
