Copy the face as a whole
A missing parenthesis can change how a face reads. The copy button includes all its marks and spaces. It becomes one history item, so removing the last entry removes the whole face rather than one character.
little faces, big feelings ♡
Choose an expression rather than an emoji color. These heart eyes, hugs, kisses and shy smiles are built from text characters, so copy the whole face to keep it together.
The collection
A heart inside a face is part of the expression; a heart outside it works like a sign-off.
The collection
Arms and spaces matter. These expressions are complete copy units, including the heart at the end.
The collection
Pick a playful expression that fits the conversation. These are decorations, not a reliable way to infer somebody else’s intentions.
The collection
Quieter faces for a friendly thank-you, a small celebration or a gentle hello.

A text face is a sequence of characters. An emoji is rendered through the destination’s emoji support, and a sticker is an image. Pasting a kaomoji does not upload a picture or guarantee a fixed width.
Screen readers can announce the individual marks rather than the intended face. Keep important information in ordinary words, and avoid repeating long faces in a message that needs to be understood quickly.

Names, sequences and version fields use Unicode data. Example messages and combinations are written for this collection. Conversational interpretations are not rules defined by Unicode; fonts and apps control appearance.
